Born in Holland and raised in Philadelphia, Lydia financed her own travels through Europe, Asia and the Middle East when she was still in her teens. After moving to Israel to study at Tel Aviv University and explore her cultural roots, she returned to the U.S. to earn a degree in ethnic studies from UC Berkeley. Taking her make it-happen approach into business, she worked in financial consulting and the legal industry, coordinating low-income housing contracts and loans. Tenures with a San Francisco technology driven market research firm and an East Bay firm that worked with IT professionals followed. Lydias background also includes experience with an executive search firm that placed senior-level PR professionals in high profile corporations.

This dynamic go-getter is a firm believer in giving back to her community and the world at large through personal involvement and financial support of organizations that fight to preserve human rights. Those shes passionate about supporting include Girls Inc., Women for Women International, Amnesty International, Human Rights Campaign, NCLR, GLAAD and numerous AIDS foundations.
